Global IELTS School was founded in 1997 and GEDU was established later in 2001. It’s one of the best educational brands under Pearson Group, owning Global Lingtong Young Learners’ English School which is a vocational and foreign language training chain school; Edu24ol.com which features vocational training and foreign language education; Beijing Wuhu Zhongshi Consulting Co.,Ltd. (Overseas Study of Global Education) which provides consulting service for overseas study and four Global International Boarding Schools that have around several thousand students. 福建环球教育在福建区域共有五所分校，分别在福州（2个校区）、福清、厦门，同时每个校区均设立留学中心，为广大学员提供出国留学服务。
For Fuzhou Global education, there are five branch campuses in Fujian province , which are in Fuzhou, Fuqing, and Xiamen respectively. Each has a Study-abroad center, providing service about studying abroad.
环球雅思外语培训中心发展历程：

Development history:
1997, Global Education was founded;
1999, first IELTS training class in China was launched;
2001, GEDU Fujian School was established, becoming one of the early top-quality language training institutions in Fujian province;
2003, GEDU opened direct-managed branches in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nanjing and other first-tier cities, becoming one of the top language training schools in China;
2004, first full-time language training schools in China was established, creating first specialized courses for students of lower levels;
2006, hundreds of millions of investments from Softbank Asia Infrastructure Fund was gained; Global Education & Technology Co., Ltd was founded;
2007, awarded “Annual Top 10 Educational Brands”, “21st Century Chinese Enterprise Future Star” and other awards and honors;
2008, awarded “Chen Meixiang Science and Education Award”, “Top 10 Famous schools in China” and other honors and awards. Previous president of International Olympic Games Committee” Juan Antonio Samaranch and Ms Chen Meixiang visited the school several times and gave previous advice;
2009, GEDU has become a large-sized exam training chain institution and a speaking training base taught by foreign teachers, providing foreign experts for the government; awarded “Top 10 Famous Foreign Language Training Institutions”;
2010, listed on US Nasdaq Stock Market, stock code: GEDU;
2011, incorporated into the world renowned educational group Pearson group, introducing the most professional education and assessment to the teaching service system of GEDU;
2013, ETS learning system was introduced by GEDU, creating an era when online and offline language training models are both available for language learners. It has become one of the most popular foreign language training institutions in Fujian province with more than 10,000 students each year.
